Meet the New Frosted Acrylic Transoms for Aria Partitions

Scranton Products offers frosted acrylic transoms for selected Aria toilet partition configurations. A transom fills the space above a door or panel. The frosted option can admit light while obscuring a direct view through that upper section.

Plan the transom with the whole enclosure

Choose the door height, panel height, floor clearance and transom arrangement together. The option does not make every Aria layout floor-to-ceiling, soundproof or automatically suitable for every room. Confirm the available dimensions, supports and mounting arrangement on the manufacturer's drawings for the selected system.

Light passing through a frosted panel is different from providing the required room lighting. The project designer still needs to coordinate lighting, ventilation, sprinklers, detection devices and accessible clearances. A material choice alone does not establish that those systems will function correctly in a particular enclosure.

Separate acrylic from the partition material specifications

The Aria acrylic transom flyer includes partition color and fire-test information. Do not read a table for a particular partition material or color as a blanket fire rating for the acrylic transom or the complete installation.

Observe the flyer's standard-color qualification and request the current test documentation for the exact products being specified. The brown color shown in the manufacturer's chart is Mocha. Review the current Aria colors and textures and obtain physical samples before making a finish selection.

Information to include in a quote

Send the finished room dimensions, desired privacy height, ceiling conditions and a sketch showing where transoms are wanted. Identify any project fire-performance or accessibility requirements so the appropriate documentation can be checked with the design team.
