Maintenance includes checking the function of doors and attached accessories. Making sure the bathroom stalls are sturdy and that all fasteners in brackets, hinges, and latches are tight. And periodic light cleaning, whether it appears the bathroom partitions require it or not.
Avoid abrasive sponges, cloths, and soaps when maintaining and cleaning stalls.
Cleaning Your Laminate Bathroom Stalls
Toilet partitions vary from one restroom to another, so there won’t be any genuinely universal suggestions. But there are several dos and don’ts and general recommendations.
Can High-Pressure Laminate Bathroom Partitions Stand Up to Moisture?
Unfortunately, high-pressure laminate bathroom stalls cannot stand up to prolonged moisture. Extended time in humid, moist, or damp environments will cause the wood in the particleboard core to swell, which can then separate the laminate from the core and lead to further swelling and eventual weakening of the particle board core.
Can I Pressure Wash Laminate Toilet Partitions?
Because of the water involved with pressure washing, avoid the process with high-pressure laminate toilet partitions. Additionally, the intensity of the water could damage the laminated surface.
High-Pressure Laminate Cleaning Procedure
Remember that the cleaning process for high-pressure laminate bathroom stalls will be different for everyone. The level of soiling influences the regimen you will use. Regular mild cleanings will extend the life of the partitions and make maintenance easier overall. Don’t let a small mess become a big one.
For light soiling, like sediment, smudges, and fingerprints, apply a mild cleaning solution with a sponge or spongey cloth. Always rinse and dry the surface afterward. An example of a gentle cleaning solution is two tablespoons of mild dishwashing liquid, like Ivory, mixed with two cups of water in a spray bottle.
Heavier soiling, like grease, oil, crayon, or makeup, will require a degreaser or general purpose cleaner. Again, use a soft sponge or cloth. Rinse and dry after removing the dirt. General purpose cleaners include products like Lysol All-Purpose Cleaner or Krud Kutter.
Difficult-to-remove soil, such as watermarking or scale deposits, should be removed using a heavy duty cleaner. Products containing acetic acid usually work best. A soft applicator, along with rinsing and drying, is still required.
Use caution when cleaning your stalls. Do not use abrasive cleansers or harsh cleaners. Do not use abrasive brushes or cleaning pads. These products have their uses, but avoid them when cleaning the finish of your high-pressure laminate bathroom stalls.
